Quick Snapshot

  • Wedding Couple: Shaan & Esmeralda

  • Entertainment: Spencer Grey Magic

  • Venue: Canyon View Event Center

  • Guest Count: 150 guests

  • Entertainment Package: Cocktail Hour Magic + Interactive Show

  • Result: Helped two families connect and gave guests a fun shared experience throughout the celebration (and a very happy mother of the groom!)

Interactive Magic Show during Wedding Reception

The Plan

  • When I spoke with Shaan's mother, it was clear they were looking to add something that was engaging and interactive.

  • Shaan and Esmeralda both come from large multicultural families, so there were a lot of people who hadn’t met before.

  • More than anything, they were looking for a way to bridge the gap and create some form of a shared experience at the celebration.

The Solution

  • The mingling magic gave everybody something to talk about, something to bond over, which naturally branched off into other conversations throughout the night.

  • We also added an interactive show during the reception, built around audience participation and ending with a finale that included everyone in attendance.

  • Shaan and Esmeralda were, of course, the highlight of the show, which helped bring everything full circle.

Standout Moments

  • Seeing the reactions from guests and how quickly the magic helped bring life and energy to the room.

  • During cocktail hour, that shared experience gave guests an easy way to connect, especially if they were meeting for the first time.

  • By the end, it felt like the magic had helped set the tone for the rest of the celebration in exactly the way we were hoping.

Final Thoughts

  • In the end, we accomplished exactly what we set out to do.

  • The magic was there to do more than entertain, it welcomed guests and created connection early in the night.

  • Later in the reception, we gave everyone another reason to come together for one big shared moment.

For a wedding centered on bringing two families together, this made all the difference.
